Three months after mainnet launch, the Powerloom Foundation unlocked its ecosystem fund. Today, we're announcing the very first recipient: BazaarX, a snapshotter delegation service.
A Different Approach to Ecosystem Grants
Most ecosystem grants chase potential—funding promises, pitches, and roadmaps from teams who haven't yet proven their commitment. We're taking a different path.
We're rewarding builders who already showed up.
Instead of attracting newcomers with future promises, we're backing the people who have already demonstrated their dedication to Powerloom.
Meet BazaarX: The First Community-Built Project on Powerloom
Our inaugural grant goes to the BazaarX ecosystem, led by noe1, one of our longest-standing community members.
What they built:
BazaarX repurposed Powerloom's open-source repositories to create a transparent snapshotter delegation platform. Users can delegate their snapshotter nodes to BazaarX, pay in $POWER and earn daily rewards without manual intervention.
Why this matters:
- First mover: BazaarX is literally the first community-run project on Powerloom
- True independence: Built and operated without any support from the Powerloom Foundation/core team
- Aligned incentives: They accept $POWER tokens for subscriptions on Powerloom Chain (our L2) aligning their success with the broader network
- Open participation: Anyone can delegate their nodes and participate as a snapshotter
This is exactly what decentralized infrastructure should enable — permissionless innovation by anyone, anywhere.
The Grant Details
BazaarX receives 1,000,000 POWER tokens conditional to them running a validator for the next 1 year, deepening their integration with the Powerloom network as we expand decentralization.
This grant reflects our commitment to those who build first and ask questions later.
Rewarding the Broader Community
The ecosystem grant isn't the only way we're recognizing our community.
The recently announced Snapshotter Rewards Program is distributing 10,000,000 POWER tokens to our loyal snapshotters who have been actively running their nodes since mainnet launch.
What This Means Going Forward
This first grant sets the precedent. The Powerloom ecosystem fund exists to amplify builders who have already proven their value — not to speculate on who might deliver someday.
