Powerloom Mainnet is Live! Kicking Off a New Era in Onchain Data Access

We are elated and proud to announce that Powerloom has transitioned to Mainnet! The release of the first epoch at 1:00 PM UTC on January 9, 2025, marks the beginning of a new era of onchain data access.

We reached this milestone through countless all-nighters by the team, extensively testing and optimizing the protocol through our pre-Mainnet phase, along with constant, invaluable support from our community’s legends.

With deep gratitude towards all our community members, we now march ahead toward our mission of making accurate, reliable, and verifiable onchain data accessible to everyone.

Powerloom’s composable data network is designed to make accessing onchain data as easy and affordable as buying a bottle of water. And when consumers (devs, orgs, and end-users) get rich insights about tokens, decentralized social interactions, etc., without spending loads of cash or hours of effort, next-gen web3 innovations will flourish. That’s our vision — our promise.

What’s New (and Better)

• The highly performant Local Collector included in the Mainnet release of the Lite node can handle hundreds of concurrent computes submitted to it and writes to the Sequencer without a glitch.
• The Multi-Node Setup Framework will further simplify the process of running Powerloom nodes, with features like one-command setup, cleanup and diagnostics, and slot selection.

Besides these, the latest Lite node release features multiple improvements to functionalities like tighter integration of snapshot computes and configs with the built images of the snapshotter Docker containers, as well as granular namespacing of snapshot projects that further supports cross-chain use cases.

Powerloom Mainnet can also support multiple data markets. However, in the initial phase, it will only incentivize Uniswap V2 submissions by default.

The multi-data market support will go live once the network stabilizes, reintroducing Uniswap V3 and Aave V3 markets, as well as adding new markets. This will maximize revenue streams and the opportunity to earn rewards for node operations. Consumers will also get more control over market creation with upcoming features like dynamic data markets.

Empowering Snapshotters

We are never tired of acknowledging the critical role Snapshotters play within the Powerloom ecosystem. They set our solution apart from any other, and their contributions are pivotal to disrupting the typical indexing-oriented approach to onchain data access.

Thus, similar to Testnet, the initial phase of the Mainnet launch is focused on empowering our 5300+ global Snapshotter community and onboarding new members to reach the 10,000 mark.

How to Participate

Existing Snapshotters—i.e., node mint participants with a Slot ID—who joined the network when we announced the simulation setup on Discord and prepared their nodes for the Mainnet transition should already start seeing submissions on the Powerloom Snapshotter Dashboard.

If you haven’t updated your setup, we encourage you to do so by following the steps outlined in the Node Setup Instructions shared on our official Discord channel.

Snapshotters who have already setup their nodes to run on the Mainnet can start claiming their rewards after the POWER tokens unlock on January 10, 2025. At this point, new node operators will also be able to join by staking 10,000 POWER to secure their Slot IDs.

Notably, existing Snapshotters who fully or partially unstake/withdraw their allocation of 3800 POWER tokens — 10% unlocked at TGE for KYCed participants, followed by a 12-month linear vesting — will burn their slots (i.e., lose their Slot IDs) and won’t be able to run their nodes. To rejoin the network, they would have to stake 10,000 POWER, just like any other new entrant.
